Osteopaths

George Dimitriadis MOst, BSc (Hons), Principal Osteopath
George Dimitriadis graduated with a Masters degree from the British School of Osteopathy. Prior to this he graduated with an honours degree in exercise and sports science at the University of Exeter. Before becoming an osteopath George has worked in the fitness industry and as a sports massage therapist for a number of years. George is a keen rugby player with a career peak of playing at international level for Greece, he also regularly exercises in the gym and has experienced at first hand the irritation of limited activity or sports caused by injury.
Alongside this, George holds an ITEC level 3 sports massage qualification, certificate 4 in personal training, sports taping with RocTape as well as a diploma in Modern Western Medical Acupuncture. George is also qualified in Display Screen Equipment setup. George also travels along side a number of racing drivers particularly in F2, F3 and other championships looking after their race fitness, hydration, nutrition and treatment.
The combination of his sporting and fitness background with his osteopathic skills gives him a broad understanding of the body’s movements and functions allowing him to incorporate a holistic view into his treatments.
"Osteopathy is more than just rubbing the bit that hurts, its holistic. The body is a single unit. We ask why does it hurt, what compensations have failed and how can we make corrections to allow the body to function efficiently."

Amy Phillips MOst, BSc (Hons), Principal Osteopath
Amy graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in London with a Masters degree. She has a wealth of experience having first studied for a Sports and Exercise Science degree at Exeter University as well as having worked as Sports Massage practitioner for a number of years.
Amy is a keen lacrosse player and regularly runs and exercises at the gym. She ran in the 2013 London Marathon for the first time and has experienced many injuries while exercising and knows the aggravation of not being able to be active or play the sport you love. In fact, successful treatment from an empathetic, local osteopath sowed the seeds in her mind of a possible career path and subsequently her osteopathic style.
She is exceptional at spotting patterns in injuries that are preventing them from healing properly and can get patients back to performing at their best or simply experiencing the quality of active life they desire. Amy takes great pride and care in communicating effectively with patients and providing them with knowledge about their injuries and pain so they can feel confident in their treatment and rehabilitation plans.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of being an Osteopath is spending the time to fully explore the individual needs of each patient so as to develop unique tailor-made treatment strategies, be it for a sports professional, an expectant mother or a nonagenarian.”

Danny Miller MOst, Osteopath
Danny started his career in finance, spending 17 years in the City of London, working both on the LIFFE trading floor, then in a senior sales role with a European bank. With his passion for learning and interest in how the human body operates, he undertook a career change from finance to osteopathy, which involved both part-time and full-time study over a period of 6 years.
Danny graduated from the University College of Osteopathy (formally British School of Osteopathy) with a Masters in Osteopathy and is also a qualified sports massage therapist. He is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy. In addition, Danny has completed an MSc in Psychology and recently completed an MSc in Health psychology.
With first-hand experience of working for long hours in an office environment, Danny is very aware of the challenges that can arise when periods of daily inactivity are combined with intense exercise. He continues to be a keen follower of rugby and keeping fit, largely through outdoor circuit training and gym work.
Danny strongly believes that osteopathic treatment can benefit people of all ages and backgrounds, whatever the underlying issues. He is trained to examine and treat using a variety of methods from sports massage to osteopathy and also has a keen interest in how nutrition impacts the human body.

Acupuncturists

Jenni Herbert Lic. Ac, Acupuncturist / Nutritionist / Naturopath
Jenni’s fascination with the human body and wellness led years of studying part-time whilst juggling a full time career in corporate and investor communications in the City of London. Like the rest of the Phoenix Team, a sports background has brought a personal understanding of performance, and the impact of injury and support in rehabilitation.
Jenni is a fully qualified and licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncturist and a member of the British Acupuncture Council. TCM acupuncture differs from medical acupuncture in that it works on a subtler level with the body’s energetics, aiming to restore balance. Jenni is also a qualified nutritionist, naturopath, fitness instructor and yoga teacher.
She believes that the road to recovery begins by enabling the body to rediscover its innate ability to self-heal, and that every person is unique in this respect. A session with Jenni could range from treatment for injury, to developing strategies to deal with stress, anxiety and insomnia, to working to improve gut health. The combination of using acupuncture with other modalities (when appropriate) allows the flexibility to achieve results in a variety of different complaints – from purely physical to the more mental/emotional too.
